Four specialists, one shared way of working
showvary is a small Chelmsford team. Each of us leads a clear area, and we work together so that layout, lighting, sound and workflow fit one another on every job.

-

-

How the team shares a project between us
Most projects touch more than one specialism, so we plan them together from the start. A studio layout affects where lights can hang and where microphones can sit. We would rather settle those questions early on paper than discover them when the equipment arrives.
Oliver usually leads the first conversation and the floor plan, because layout decides much of what follows. Priya then works out lighting positions and power, while Daniel looks at how the room will sound and how monitoring should be arranged.
Hannah joins to look at how material moves through the facility. She asks what happens to a recording after the cameras stop, and where people currently wait or repeat work. Her questions often change small details of the layout.
We keep our documents plain. Drawings, cable schedules and notes are written so that a crew member who was not in the meeting can pick them up and understand what is intended and why.
We say clearly what we do not know. If a decision depends on a venue visit or a test, we say so and agree how to find out, instead of guessing and presenting it as settled.
