Projects
A look at the kinds of studio, stage and workflow work showvary plans and supports, from floor plans to cable routes and lighting rigs.
What the work looks like on the studio floor and stage
Our projects start with drawings, cable schedules and a walk around the room. The scenes below show the materials, equipment and settings we plan around in studios and at live events.
Studio floor plan and camera positions
Every studio job begins with a floor plan. We mark camera positions, set areas, talent marks and clear walkways so crews can move without crossing shots or tripping over cable.
Cable routes under the floor
Routing for power, audio and video is planned before anything is installed. Separating signal types and labelling both ends of each run saves hours of tracing faults later.
Vision mixer and camera control
We configure multi-camera control panels so the director and vision mixer see what they need. Tally, shading and remote operation are set up and tested before the first rehearsal.
Lighting rig on stage truss
Lighting plans show fixture positions, rigging points and power distribution. For concerts and corporate events we balance coverage for cameras with the look the audience sees in the room.
Mixing desk at a live venue
Audio design covers microphone choice, desk layout and monitoring. We plan for the room as it is, including its reverberation, so the engineer has a workable starting point on the day.
Control room signal review
Workflow reviews follow the signal from camera to delivery. Sitting with operators at their monitors shows where files are copied twice or handed over without need.
How long we have worked and what the work covers
showvary was founded in Chelmsford in 2014, so we have worked for twelve years across broadcast studios and live events. Our work falls into five areas: studio design, camera control, lighting, sound and workflow consulting. A small team of four leads that work, and each project is handled by the person who knows the subject best.

The kinds of teams that use our planning and advice
Our work suits people who produce programmes and events and need the technical side to be dependable. The groups below describe the audiences we plan for, and what each tends to need from studio, stage and workflow support.
Television production teams
Producers who need a studio layout, camera control and sound that let a crew work quickly and repeat a show reliably from one recording day to the next.
Streaming and online studios
Teams building a compact studio for live or recorded streams, who need sensible equipment choices, cable routes and a signal path that a small crew can operate.
Live event organisers
Organisers of concerts, festivals and conferences who need lighting plans, rigging advice and audio design that fit the venue and the running order.
Corporate event managers
Managers staging presentations and launches, who want clear sound, even lighting and camera coverage without a complicated technical setup for speakers.
Studio managers
People responsible for a facility day to day, who benefit from a tidy equipment layout, clear labelling and workflows that new crew can learn quickly.
Post and delivery teams
Teams handling files after the shoot, who need consistent naming, sensible routing and fewer manual steps between camera, edit and final delivery.
